Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement

Barnard Dunkelberg & Company was part of a team hired by the Federal Aviation Administration to prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for a new airport located adjacent to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Under guidance of the Federal Court, the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement address aircraft noise over sensitive Department of Interior properties in southern Utah.
The new airport was constructed and is operational. The court directed the Federal Aviation Administration to prepare a supplemental Environmental Impact Statement to address noise and other issues associated with the National Recreation Area, but allowed the airport to remain open and operational.
